Grandmothers in 2024

The 2024 elections were not what we hoped for. One bright spot was the election of Ruben Gallego to the U. S. Senate in Arizona. We sent out 70,000 postcards for Gallego.

The loss of Senator Bob Casey in Pennsylvania and Sherrod Brown’s loss in Ohio were unfathomable and now the Senate has tipped to a Republican majority.

Despite what the media is saying, the Presidential election could well have gone the other way. A difference of about 1 ½ percentage points in the so-called blue wall states would have resulted in the election of Kamala Harris as president.

So be prepared to get out your pens once again in two years to participate in the effort to take back the Senate. Those cards that we send can really make a difference, as we saw in Arizona.

But first, we want to thank you so much for all you have done this year. And a special thanks to those who have written cards for years. Rejoice in the Gallego victory and mourn the loss of Brown and Casey. Look for our messages when we next see an opportunity to support first-rate candidates that we think can use our help.
